At present the Financial Services Regulatory Commission (FSRC) of Antigua and Barbuda is receiving technical help from the European Union. This will help to make the regulatory and supervisory set-ups for the insurance sector a better one.
The Office of the National Authorising Office or NAO is presently aiming to recruit well known consultants by early next year. This will make sure that FSRC is restructured and performs with more efficiency.
In 2012 the government will set up a Regional Integration and Diaspora Unit (RIDU) in the Office of the Prime Minister. It will also start a public awareness program regarding the OECS Economic Union.

The Antigua and Barbuda budget 2012 will emphasize on developmental cooperation being provided by the Economic Partnership Agreement or EPA.
The administration will look to set up the proper institutions and capacity for effecting fiscal reforms.
The government will be supporting steps that look to promote enterprise development and help the private sector grow. The smaller organizations will be given more emphasis and the firms will be assisted to become globally competitive.
In 2012 Antigua and Barbuda will implement the CARICOM Trade and Competitiveness Project, which will be financed by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). This project deals with environment and gender related issues apart from the administrative and legal execution of the Caribbean Vocational Qualifications (CVQs).

The government will aim to establish a new indoor netball and basketball facility at the Grays Farm Community.

Antigua and Barbuda will be provided grant funding by the Peoples Republic of China this money will be used to set up a secondary school at Five Islands.
