In the Past, many Japanese Companies used to sent their executives to American Business Schools to Learn the professional management skills, But the situation changed due to excessive competition in the market and rise of cost of education. So to fill this gap many Japanese universities started providing management education and the growth of many international management institution started.
Japan has a strong technical base along with rich in culture , art and heritage which influences their management practices. The need to develop a management base has been felt for long time to foster the leadership skills and Entrepreneurship Skills. Now MBA candidates are required by different firms to fulfill their requirements in Human Resources, Finance, Banking etc.
Management Education used to be oriented towards Curriculum Oriented but now the focus shifted towards Case Study oriented where students are to solve real life problems and develop the necessary skill sets required from them.
Due to decrease in the Japanese youth population many of the universities are unable to fill their Classroom Quota So in recent times there are many mergers between the Japanese schools. So there is a high focus to attract foreign student to these schools.
