Fairmont State University

The Fairmount State University is situated in Fairmont in West Virginia in the USA. It is a public university and it was founded in 1865 as West Virginia Normal School. Fairmont State University (FSU) offers a number of master degree courses.
The Fairmount State University offers masters degrees in teaching, education, criminal justice and nursing. It also offers 90 bachelor�s degrees and 50 associate degrees. The university has recently launched a major in Intelligence Research & Analysis program.

The FSU admission requirements for the first-time freshmen include a number of steps. First the candidate needs to apply for the admission. The official high school transcript or GED and ACT or SAT scores are needed to be submitted by the candidates.

Those candidates who earned college credit during high school need to submit the college transcript. The immunization record of MMR of candidates is required. If the candidate is out of school for more than six months, the statement of activities also needs to be submitted.

Fairmont State is a member of the West Virginia Inercollegiate Athletics Conference and NCAA Division II. The men�s sports played in the university are – football, basketball, cross-country, baseball tennis, golf and swimming. The women’s sports are �tennis, basketball, golf, volleyball, softball swimming and cross-country. Falcon is the mascot of the university.
