Amplify Federal Credit Union was established in 1967 by ten IBM employees in Austin. Between 1987 and 1989, the asset that the union accumulated amounted to $50 million. At that very time the union also introduced two new services – Logic ATM network and EZ Link bank-by-phone.
In the year of 2004 the Amplify Federal Credit Union introduced more new products such as Quick Cash loans, Free Checking, Member Benefits program, Platinum credit cards and Rapid Funding Home Improvement Loans. Some changes in the membership regulations were also brought in and the membership scope was made open to include everyone in the 5-county Austin area.
A new branch in South Austin was opened and the branches in San Antonio & Albuquerque were closed. The amount of assets of the union reached $320 million in this year. Amplify Federal Credit Union take extra measures to protect the member’s information to ensure the privacy.
Hence the union has developed a number of electronic, physical and procedural safeguards in order to protect the non-personal information of the members. The safeguards necessarily meet the Federal regulations. Amplify Federal Credit Union does not sell any nonpublic information of the members.

People having credit union membership in conjunction with the Credit Union Members Mortgage enjoy a number of benefits. The members can choose from a wide variety of mortgage products offered by the union. The union also offers advice from mortgage experts to help the members select the right product. It also offers competitive rates and closing costs for the mortgages. All members of the union are given the option to sign up for the Interest Saver Program by Amplify Federal Credit Union after the closing of loans. This program is designed to save up to 7 years of interest on a 30 year loan. This program is available to the Credit Union Members without any enrollment fee.
