Envision Credit Union (ECU) is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative serving individuals living in the Tallahassee, Florida area with six locations.
Opened in 1954 to give teachers an option beyond the corporate banking system, ECU has become a major part of the community. Ten people put in $5 to organize the Leon County Teachers Credit Union, a small organization ran out of the desk of a high school teacher.
Over the years, the charter has been approved to allow membership with select employee groups (SEGs) and people who live and work in the surrounding area. Despite this growth, which now includes a branch 25 miles away in Quincy, ECU remains committed to the people helping people principles credit unions were first founded on.

The following products and services are being offered by the credit union:
Free and Interest-bearing Checking
Savings and Money Market Accounts

A five-person Board of Directors is elected by the members on a rotating basis to serve as the driving force in ECU. This group combines with the CEO and the rest of the management team to create a line of products and services that meet accountholder needs while continuing the growth and stability of the organization as whole. Currently, more than 31,500 people handle their financial business through ECU, resulting in more than $234 million in assets being managed by the institution.
