The Canadian International Trade Tribunal is a semi judicial administrative body. The tribunal operates within the system of trade remedies in Canada. It performs its functions in an impartial and autonomous way. The Canadian International Trade tribunal, reports through the Finance minister to the Parliament.
Roles and functions of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal:
The tribunal carries out inquiries to see, whether subsidized as well as dumped import activities have harmed or are likely to inflict material harm to an industry within the country. It conducts queries and gives advice on tariff, economic and trade issues.
