International Trade Commission of United States investigates whether the domestic industries are adversely affected by the imports that are dumped and highly subsidised. The International Trade Commission also solves the disputes that arise out of violation of intellectual property rights.

Historical evolution of the International Trade Commission
The US Congress laid the stepping stone of the International Trade Commission in 1916. This institution is mainly engaged with the collection of trade data and their analysis. The data is then supplied to the President and Congress helping them to formulate the US International trade policy.

Functions of the International Trade Commission
International Trade Commission is in charge of the administration of the trade remedy laws of the United States.
International Trade Commission provides its invaluable suggestion to the President and the Congress regarding different aspects like tariffs and international competitiveness.
